PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to obtain desired auxiliary information according to position information. SOLUTION: The position information is received by a GPS receiver 20 from a GPS 200 and the position information and user identification information are sent by a portable information terminal 10 to an auxiliary information distributor terminal 30 through a communication network 100. Then the auxiliary information distributor terminal 30 sends auxiliary information on an auxiliary information object within an arbitrary range based upon the position information as its center to the portable information terminal 10 through the communication network 100 on condition that the user identification information coincides.
