The secondary air inlet device consists of a pipe (14), mounted on the speed limiter strangler tube (4), in the line of the exhaust pipe (10). The speed limiter strangler is provided, at its two extremities, with conical sections, forming an inlet and outlet, and between these sections is formed a reduced diameter section, forming the restriction. The secondary air pipe is fitted into the reduced diameter section to draw the secondary air from outside the exhaust system, in order to permit the purification of the exhaust gas in the catalytic chamber.
