PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the more compact constitution of an entire system by improving the efficiency of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: This image transfer system includes an endless belt (10) functioning as an image carrier and the heat exchanger (38) formed of the two parts (10a and 10b) of the belt which move in an opposite direction and are held by a pressing member (36) so as to come into slide-contact with each other. The belt passes through a 1st processing station (12) where the belt is kept at low temperature (T1) and a 2nd processing station (14) where the belt is kept at high temperature (T3), and the pressing member is a deflecting roller rotating simultaneously with one part (10a) of the belt directly coming into contact with the pressing member.
