Explosive-actuated riveting gun comprises a housing (1) containing a breech block (6), an axially displaceable bolt guide, and an igniter (10) axially displaceable in the breech block and having a spring unit (11). The spring unit is pre-tensioned at the force introduction point on axial displacement of the bolt guide against the riveting direction. Preferred Features: The spring unit is tensioned by a guide element (12) at the introduction of force against the riveting direction.
