A composition (I) containing hydrophilic inorganic powder(s) (P) with an average particle size of 15-500 microns and hydrophobic thermoplastic substance(s) (T) with a surface tension of 20-50 mN/m, in a wt. ratio of (P):(T) = (50:1)-(1:2). Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for the production of difficult-to-wet surfaces by coating a conventional surface with (I); (b) a method for the production of difficult-to-wet surfaces by moulding composition (I) to give a formed product; (c) formed products with the composition (I) as given above.
