PURPOSE: A refrigerant leakage prevention apparatus is provided to achieve an improved compression performance by maintaining refrigerant gas existing at the center of the compression chamber at a high pressure, while lengthening useful life of compressor. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor comprises a fixed scroll having a protrusion(31) wound in vortex shape; and a moving scroll having a protrusion(41) wound in vortex shape and which is engaged with the protrusion of the fixed scroll, such that a compression chamber having a high pressure portion, a medium pressure portion, and a low pressure portion is formed from the center of rotation. A refrigerant leakage prevention apparatus(100) comprise a groove type insertion guide(110) formed at ends of the protrusions; a sealing member(120) inserted into the insertion guide so as to seal the compression chamber; and a movement prevention unit for preventing the sealing member from being moved by the pressure of the high pressure portion of the compression chamber. The movement prevention unit includes a groove type holder(131) arranged at an end of the insertion guide, and which has a width wider than the width of the insertion guide; and a stopper(132) arranged at an end of the sealing member, and which has a shape similar to the shape of the holder.
