SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium comprises a [18]annulene-based compound represented by the general formula (X1 to X3 are each independently on oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom or an imino group; R1 to R6 are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, a carboxy group, an alkoxycarbonyl group or an alkyl group; R7 to R12 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, a formyl group, a carboxy group, a cyano group, a nitro group, an amino group, a sulfonic acid group, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkoxy group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a carboxyalkyl group, an alkylcarbonyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group or an alkylcarbonyloxy group; adjacent substituent groups of R1 to R12 may be bonded to form a ring form).
