PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella which can always stably be carried without giving a burden to its user when it is not used. SOLUTION: A handle part 10 consists of a fixed handle part 11 to be fixed at the base end part of a metal rod 2 and a rotary handle part 12 having a hook part 14 fitted rotatably to this part 11 with a hinge 13. Adhesive tapes 20 being the first holding means for holding the part 11 and the part 12 in the state of constituting the part 10 integrally and releasing this state at need are formed at position opposing each other.
