PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curing agent composition for epoxy resins capable of providing a nontar and low-solvent type anticorrosive coating composition excellent in adhesion to a substrate or a top coat by combination with a polyepoxy compound. SOLUTION: This curing agent composition for the epoxy resins is characterized in that the curing agent composition is obtained by adding (c) a glycidyl ether compound to a polyamidoamine compound obtained from (a) a polyamine compound containing >=50 mol% of m-xylylenediamine with (b) a dimer acid, a trimer acid or a hydrogenatad substance thereof or a mixture of aliphatic carboxylic acid compounds in which the dimer acid, trimer acid or the hydrogenated substance thereof accounts for >=0.5 equivalent in one equivalent of the total carboxy groups, the content of the carboxy groups in the component (b) is 0.1-0.35 equivalent based on 1 equivalent of primary amino groups in the component (a), the total content of the carboxy groups in the component (b) and the epoxy groups in the component (c) is 0.4-0.6 equivalent and the chlorine content is <=0.05 wt.%.
