PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem such that it takes much time to detect continuous unused blocks since it is necessary to count the number of the contin uous unused blocks each time it is necessary to detect the continuous unused blocks. SOLUTION: Number information indicating the number of continuous unused blocks is written in an information area corresponding to at least one block of those continuous unused blocks generated due to the change of at least one block from the use state in which the block is being used to the unused state, and when it is judged that plural blocks are required for writing data in a buffer, the continuous unused blocks to be written are designated based on the number information of the information area of a management table.
