Safety device preventing accidental discharge of firearm comprises male and female components fastened together between trigger and guard

The safety device consists of two components (7, 8) with male and female couplings which fasten together to form a block between the trigger (1) and guard (2) of a firearm. The components are made e.g. from a synthetic material such as a plastic, and are optionally fluorescent. The block can be pushed out by lateral pressure from a thumb to prepare the firearm for instant use, breaking side lips (9) which leave traces to show that its removal was deliberate.
