PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device of a high intensity discharge lamp in which the adjustment of plural time constant circuits combining a capacitor and a resister that has been necessary for the reduction of supply power is eliminated, and an optimum power for the relighting starting is supplied even in the case lighting and putting out are repeated in a short time. SOLUTION: Using a micro-controller, the length of the lights-out period that has been put out before lighting and the lighting period that had been lighted on previously of the high intensity discharge lamp is used as a factor, and the power supplied for starting lighting of the high intensity lamp is calculated and controlled, and the supplied power after lighting is made to be reduced according to the power formula. |
