<p>An AC generator for a vehicle, in which high output is realized by overlapping a laminated iron core of a stator with a yoke part of a field rotor in the axial direction, and an electromagnetic sound can be reduced by defining the dimensional relation of the field rotor. The ratio (R2/R1) of the outside diameter (R2) of a cylinder of a Lundell iron core to the outside diameter (R1) of the Lundell iron core is in the range of 0.50-0.54, and the ratio (Tr/Tp) of a lap length in the axial direction (Tr) between the laminated iron core of the stator and the yoke part of the Lundell iron core to the length (Tp) in the axial direction of the yoke part is in the range of 0.2 or more.</p> |
