<p>A multi-layer golf ball (8) having a core (10), an inner cover layer (14) compising an ionomer and having Shore D hardness of about 65 or less, and an outer cover layer (16) comprising an ionomer and having a Shore D hardness of at least 60. The outer cover layer (16) is harder than the inner cover layer (14). The core (10) preferably comprises a high molecular weight polybutadiene that exhibits an ultra high Mooney viscosity. The sum of the thickness of the inner cove layer (14) and the thickness of the outer layer (16) is greater than 0.090 inches. A method of making the golf ball (8) is also disclosed.</p> |
