PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolving agent, such as an optically resolving agent, synthesized from a mannosan polymer, and to provide a column for the resolution. SOLUTION: This optically resolving agent is characterized by using as the asymmetric identifying site of optical resolution a derivative obtained by partially or wholly substituting the hydrogen atoms of the hydroxyl groups of a mannosan polymer represented by the general formula (1) by allyl groups, 4 to 30C acyl groups, 4 to 30C carbamoyl groups, 4 to 30C alkyl groups or arylalkyl groups.
