PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall construction method using a metal panel capable of easily waterproofing only with the metal member without using a seal member having no durability. SOLUTION: A plurality of grid intersection position attaching fittings 6 are attached to an exterior wall panel board 2 of a steel building, a longitudinal member 4 having a C-shaped cross section is attached to the attaching fittings 6 in a longitudinal direction, also a lateral member 5 with an L-shaped cross section is attached in horizontal direction, a peripheral end at right side is folded to a long L-shape, a peripheral end at the left side is folded to a short channel shape, a metal panel 7 with the peripheral end at the upper side folded to a long L-shape and the peripheral end at the lower side folded to a short L-shape is inserted from a peripheral end folded portion 7b at the right side as the tip to an opening portion 4a of the longitudinal member 4, it is overlapped with a folded portion 7a of the neighbor metal panel 7 and pushed to a folded surface 4b at the opening side of the longitudinal member 4, neighbor upper and lower metal panels 7 are overlapped at the folded portion and fixed with locking screws to the lateral member 5 by overlapping the folded portions.
