PURPOSE: A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the power consumption of a driving circuit and maintain high image quality by improving a structure of the display device. CONSTITUTION: An LCD device(10) is formed by inserting liquid crystal between the first and the second transparent substrates. A plurality of source drivers(Sd1,Sd2,Sd3) are formed at upper portions of the first and the second transparent substrates of the LCD device(10). A plurality of gate drivers(Gd1 to Gd6) are formed at a left side and a right side of the first and the second transparent substrates of the LCD device(10). A common electrode and a color filter are formed on the first substrate. A TFT circuit is formed on the second substrate. A pixel(12) is formed with an area which is surrounded by signal lines(S1,S2) and row signal lines(G1,G2,G3,G4). A pixel electrode is installed on an area which is surrounded by the signal lines(S1,S2) and the row signal lines(G1,G2).
