PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented coextruded polyester film which shows superb adhesive properties with a metallic layer, is low in manufacturing cost and excellent in workability and optical properties. SOLUTION: In the biaxially oriented coextruded polyester film made up of a base layer B and at least one outer layer A to which a metallic thin film can be bonded, the outer layer A is 1.6μm or less thick and shows a metallic thin film adhesion of 4 N/25 mm or more.
