PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling raising pot having excellent seedling raising performance similar to that of a polyethylene pot during a period of raising seedling, allowing a user to transplant whole the seedling raising pot into the soil after finishing seedling raising operation, and getting biodegradable soon after transplantation. SOLUTION: This seedling raising pot is such as to have no top-curl portion, and to be obtained by using a lamination layer sheet where a waterproof thermoplastic synthetic resin layer is arranged on a paper base material containing >=20 wt.% of mechanically produced pulp and also having cross-sectional permeation of 0-0.5 mm so that the outer surface of the lamination layer sheet comprises the paper base material and the inner face thereof comprises the thermoplastic biodegradable synthetic resin layer.
