DETECTION METHOD OF THIURAMS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which achieves a simple and quick detection of thiurams with a higher sensitivity by the chemiluminescence method. SOLUTION: A non-water solvent solution of a complex produced from a trivalent transition metal element and an aromatic ligand containing hydrogen is kept in contact with thiurams to cause chemiluminescence and the intensity of the emission is measured to determine the concentration of the thiuams. The typical example of the complex based on the trivalent transition metal element and the aromatic ligand containing hydrogen is the trivalent ruthenium complex. The complex is stable in the non-water solvent.
