PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a roof light window that can secure a quick operation to open it for ventilation without changing a position of its elevation frame, making an x-shaped link and a torsion bar unnecessary, and then reducing the number of parts, thereby promoting simplification of its structure and endurance of the system by sealing the drive part between the dome and the glass by shutting out contact between inside air and outside air. SOLUTION: Air vent holes 4a to 7a are bored to the lower frame 3a having vertical side parts 4 to 7 in its outer peripheral of a building's mounting slot. To these air vents 4a to 7a, the window spline 10 is slidably installed. At a time of ventilation, the window spline 10 is slid by the electric motor 27 to open or close the air vents 4a to 7a. This makes such a traditional big-size device unnecessary that can shift the entire elevation frame, but the electric motor 27 having a smaller number of parts and a low output can promote miniaturization, a quicker operation and a low cost to the entire system.
