PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid pipe type regenerator hiving simplified structure, capable of preventing combustion gas from short-passing an outermost end of a liquid pipe group without the use of a baffle plate, etc. SOLUTION: In a liquid pipe type regenerator, which comprises a combustion section 1, and a combustion chamber that consists of a liquid pipe 2 group disposed downstream a combustion flame and combustion gas 3 with an equal interval vertically zigzag manner, a distance a between the liquid pipe 2 at the outermost end of the foregoing liquid pipe group and a combustion chamber wall surface 4 is constructed smaller than a liquid pipe interdistance b of the liquid pipe group. The liquid pipe group comprises a bear tube group and a fin tube group. The outer diameter of the fin tube 5, including the fins, may be preferably set equal to the outside diameter of the bear tube 2, and further the liquid pipe group may include a space 8, where no liquid pipe 2 is disposed between the liquid pipes 2.
