RECOGNITION SYSTEM FOR BURIED PIPE LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recognition system for buried pipe lines capable of providing easily various pieces of information of the buried pipe lines, and accurate positional information, and allowing positive recognition of a particular buried pipe line. SOLUTION: An ID tag read and written by a non-contact system reader- writer is buried along with the pipe line in a state written with the information regarding the buried pipe line such as type of fluid, type of piping, and laid date. A detecting device installed with the reader-writer is provided with a GPS receiver including a GPS antenna for obtaining the positional information and a terminal capable of displaying the pipe line information regarding the pipe line read from the ID tag and the positional information obtained from the GPS receiver.
