<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof ballast having a lead wire mounted in a self locking manner. SOLUTION: A cylindrical case 5 contains a ballast main body 2, a device terminal 3 and a resilient cover 4. The case is filled with a filling material 6 except for a region leading from insert holes 22 and 22 of terminal plates 16 and 17 to a resilient holding position by a holder 20. Thereafter, waterproof coat 7 is formed over the outer surface of the case 5, filling material 6 and cover 5. An electric wire 37 is inserted from the side of an opening 5a of the case 5 through the insert holes 22 and 22 into the holder 20.</p> |
