<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to manufacture a battery having a little variation in capacity by making a nickel electrode which can inhibit change of an amount of moisture of an active material slurry and pH, can fill a nickel metal porosity body with the active material slurry easily, and has little variation in an amount of the filling, enable to be produced. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of this alkali storage battery is equipped with an alkali containing process of making a nickel metal porosity body contain an alkali aqueous solution, and the active material filling process which fills the nickel metal porosity body in which the alkali aqueous solution is contained with the active material slurry having nickel hydroxide as a main substance. If the nickel metal porosity body is contained with the alkali aqueous solution beforehand, a phenomenon in which the moisture contained in the active material slurry is sucked up to the hollow section of the skeleton of the porosity body comes to be inhibited. For this reason, the amount of moisture of the active material slurry stored in a slurry filling tub is maintained uniformly, the viscosity of the slurry also becomes constant and its filling ability with the active material improves.</p> |
