A color photographic film has picture fields and lying between the picture fields and the film edge, no regions (tracks) having perforations. At least one track contains at least two different machine-readable pieces of information (markings). Different machine-readable pieces of information are exposed to light on the same track outside the picture field above one another in light-sensitive layers of different spectral sensitivities. Between the picture fields and the marking tracks are located perforation tracks. The film is a film from the 135 system and also from the advanced photo system. The processing apparatus can read out the machine-readable information of the one layer of the color photographic film and the information of the other layer separately.
