PURPOSE: A structure for connecting a cooling system side protective pipe in the bright annealing process for a wire rod is provided which has not any distortions even in case that rapid heating and cooling are repeated by constantly maintaining an outer diameter of the end part of the cooling system side protection pipe. CONSTITUTION: In connecting the heating system side protection pipe(11) to the cooling system side protection pipe(12) by forming a through hole on a flange(34) in the bright annealing system of a wire rod(10), the structure for connecting the cooling system side protective pipe(12) in the bright annealing process for the wire rod(10) is characterized in that an insertion part for cooling system side protection pipe of the through hole is flatly processed so that the cooling system side protective pipe(12) is slidingly inserted into the insertion part for cooling system side protection pipe, and the flange(34) is welding bonded from the outside after the cooling system side protective pipe(12) is inserted into the through hole of the flange(34).
