The present invention relates to a method of synchronising in a receiver, without synchronisation words, phase and frequency within a received frame. This is done i.a. by said frame being caused to comprise a first field with a number of data symbols,and a second field which contains the same data symbols as in the first field, but complex-conjugated. Moreover, by multiplying in the receiver each data symbol in the first fieldwith the complex conjugate of itself from the second field, a real product is created which depends on the phase and frequency error, and which can be used to adjust the received signal or the receiver's frequency setting so as to obtain phase and frequency synchronisation. |
