COVERING MATERIAL WITH WEATHERSTRIP FOR AUTOMOBILE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost and also to restrain deterioration of the soundproof and waterproof effects of a weatherstrip, for example, then the covering material is an insulator. SOLUTION: The covering material with weatherstrip for an automobile in which the weatherstrip 13 made of a thermoplastic elastomer is fixed to a covering material body 2. A corner part of the weatherstirp 13 is formed by partially cutting off a portion to be bent of the weather strip 13 to form a substantially V-shaped groove as views orthogonally crossed in the longitudinal direction of the weatherstrip 13, to heat the groove part and to bend the weatherstrip 13 so that both sides of the groove are contacted and bonded together by heat fusion. The weatherstrip 13 of which mounting part is embedded into the covering material base 6 is integrally fixed to the covering material body 2 by pressing the covering material base 6 with a heated mold 8.
