摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a block type high molecular weight product which shows optimum physical properties for a film forming material and a coating or the like, designing a specific block structure by a living radical polymerization method. SOLUTION: A monomer which gives a polymer whose glass-transition temperature is below 300 K and a monomer which gives a polymer whose glass- transition temperature is over 300 K are living radical polymerized by using an initiator in the presence of the transition metal and its ligand. Then the block type high molecular weight product having film physical properties whose tensile elasticity in a tension test is 1 Kg/mm2 or more and which has no adhesive property at room temperature, composed of a polymer block A whose glass-transition temperature is below 300 K and a polymer block B whose glass- transition temperature is over 300 K and whose number average molecular weight is beyond 10,000 is produced.
