PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set for ink jet recording giving sufficient storage stability even in the case of printing on a special paper. SOLUTION: The ink set for ink jet recording is composed of several kinds of water-based recording liquids for full color printing. The black ink is a water-based recording liquid containing one or more kinds of black disazo dye expressed by general formula 1 (A is phenyl or naphthyl which may have additional substituent; B is a (substituted) phenylene or naphthylene; R is H or a (substituted) phenyl; and (n) is 1 or 2) as a free acid and the cyan ink is a water-based recording liquid containing one or more kinds of specific C.I. Reactive Blue dyes.
