PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine that has a display section for easily and simply displaying those that are gentle to eyes and prevent users from regarding as abnormal display or the like by mistake, and those whose state changes gradually, and to provide a washing machine that can be operated easily and simply. SOLUTION: The washing machine is provided with the display section 11 for display by turning on or off a semiconductor light emitting device(LED), and the display section 11 comprises a sensor display 23 that is composed by one LED that is turned on or off gradually, and a monitor display 24 where five LEDs are aligned in a line horizontally. The five LEDs are turned on or off gradually, or are turned on gradually in order, or are turned off gradually.
