PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer with a simple structure for performing lead connection without increasing the restriction of mechanical vibration and lowering transformer performance, securing the reliability of electric connection when used for a long period of time, and performing manufacture at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this piezoelectric transformer, in the drive input part of an input side on a piezoelectric ceramic rectangular plate 11, metal plate lead terminals 14 and 14' for input are connected to external surface electrodes 13 and 13' for the input formed near a vibration node by solder 19. In the high voltage output part of an output side, the metal plate lead terminal 17 for output is connected to the external surface electrode 15 for the output formed near a vibration loop point by using a conductive adhesive material 16. When driven, an end in the lengthwise direction of the piezoelectric ceramic rectangular plate 11 in the high voltage output part becomes the vibration loop point, only a minute current flows and power loss is little even in constitution using the conductive adhesive material 16.
