PURPOSE: A method for confirming a recipient of delivered goods and a system therefor are provided to generate and assign a cipher according to a goods number, and to identify the recipient when the cipher for the goods number is identical to a cipher inputted by the recipient, so that the loss and manipulation of goods can be prevented and the ground of delivery can remain. CONSTITUTION: Goods are received(S100) and a goods number is assigned(S110). Cell phone terminal numbers of a sender and a recipient are inputted by interworking with the goods number(S120) and a cipher interworking with the goods number is generated(S130). The goods number, cipher, and the cell phone terminal numbers of the sender and recipient are stored and turned to a database(S140). The goods number, and the cipher corresponding to the goods number are transmitted to the cell phone terminals of the sender and the recipient(S150). To identify the recipient or an agent, the database having information on the goods are accessed through a cell phone terminal connection system(ARS(Auto Response System))(R100). An announcement is delivered(R110), and the goods number and the cipher are inputted(R120,R130). Whether the cipher inputted by the recipient is identical to the goods information stored in the database is discriminated(R140,R150). If identical, the recipient is recognized to be true and a message denoting that the delivery of goods is possible is transmitted to a delivery man(R160,R170,R180), and caller telephone number information of the cell phone terminal of the recipient and date information are extracted and stored(R190,R200). And information on a result of goods delivery is transmitted to a cell phone terminal of a sender and an information office(R210,R220,R230).
