PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment system, a card type electronic component and communication method, by which a user can perform radio communications with external radio equipment from electronic equipment through a radio communication means without performing a specified operation when a card type electronic component having the radio communication means is connected with the electronic equipment. SOLUTION: In addition to a function as a storage medium, which is a main function, a radio interface function is packaged on an SD memory card 1, an antenna module 2 for performing radio communication is connected and a radio control part 8 is internally provided. Besides, a flash memory 6 is a flash ROM (EEPROM) for SD memory card and stores a driver program for operating the radio communication function. When a personal computer(PC) and the SD memory card are connected, the PC receives the driver program and radio communication with the external radio equipment is enabled through the radio control part 8 and an antenna 9. |
