PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which discriminates an originator on the basis of a recorded voice with reference to the receipt of a message from a telephone which cannot notify originator information. SOLUTION: A control unit 3 in the portable telephone is provided with a function by which a voice during a call is recorded and stored in a call-voice recording database 5 so as to be related to the originator information obtained from a memory dial database 7 for a definite time; a function by which in the receipt of a message whose originator number is not notified the received voice is recorded in a received-voice recording region 4, and by which the recorded received voice is compared with a call voice recorded and stored in the database 5; a function by which, when a recipient is specified by their comparison, personal information on the recipient registered in a recipient- discriminating personal information database 6 is selected; and a function which displays the selected personal information on a display part 9.
