PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast signal reception processing device which is easily turned to a receiving state, in which the device receives another ensemble in which regeneration information corresponding to the regeneration information obtained so far is obtained, when the device becomes disabled to receive an ensemble, while the device receives it. SOLUTION: A state is detected in which an ensemble is not properly received by a selection receiver 12 lasting longer than a prescribed time, and when the controlling information data which are obtained so far indicate the presence of another ensemble, rather than the ensemble as an object of receiving, the selection receiver 12 is put in a state, in which the receiver 12 receives another ensemble. When the controlling information data which are obtained thus far do not indicate the presence of another ensemble instead of the ensemble as an object of receiving, the selection receiver 12 is put in a seek operation state, in which the receiver 12 is sequentially changed in receiving frequency to search and receive the receivable ensemble. A control unit 20, which enables the control information data obtained on the basis of the searched and received ensemble to be stored in a memory 26, is provided.
