CHANGING METHOD OF USER INFORMATION IN IC CARD SYSTEM, IC CARD SYSTEM, AND IC CARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change information such as password or the like within an IC card offline only by the internal processing of the IC card, and reflect the result also to a host that is the issuer of the IC card. SOLUTION: A user having an intension to change the password of the IC card inserts the IC card to an IC card reader/writer connected to its own PC or the like, selects information change mode as one of applications using the IC card, and inputs one piece of information set unchangeable. A processor in the PC compares the inputted information with the information preliminarily stored within the IC card. When the inputted information is right, the processor instructs the information input of an item to be changed to the user to make the user input it, and registers the inputted new information in the IC card.
