PURPOSE: A method for activating Internet cafes using a game server and a game participation management system is provided to register Internet cafes with IP addresses of computers in a service management Web server, and to allow IDs and passwords to customers to register the IDs and the passwords in the service management Web server, so as to give a sense of belonging to the customers who participate in games of the Internet cafes as well as increase the number of customers. CONSTITUTION: An Internet cafe registers as a service member(301). The registered Internet cafe allows game IDs and passwords to customers, and registers the customers in a service management Web server(302). Data of a database of the service management Web server and a database of a game participation management system interwork with each other(303). A customer connects to the game participation management system by inputting a self ID and a password(304). The game participation management system decides whether the customer is registered in the Internet cafe(305). If so, the game participation management system provides accessible game servers(306). The customer selects a game server to be connected to the game server(307). A game is performed according to methods provided from the game server(308). The game participation management system receives game results of game participants(309). The game participation management system records the game results in a game participation information database according to customers of the Internet cafe(310). The recorded data is stored in a database of the service management Web server, to read the data(311). The Internet cafe selects event participants among the customers(312). The game participation management system deletes IDs and passwords of customers who do not reach standards(313). If the event participants succeed in a tournament, the participants are given offline rights to participate in a game event(314).
