PURPOSE: A sensor for detecting microwave is provided to reduce the error rate of a microwave oven without influencing an output signal from a sensing unit by inductivity reactance increased by a separated distance even if a controlling unit and the sensing unit detecting the cooking state of food are structurally separated by a predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION: In a sensor for detecting microwave, a sensing unit includes a receiving unit(71) receiving microwave reflected by a cooking chamber and a rectifying unit(72) rectifying the received microwave. A controlling unit(90) senses the cooking state according to the output signal of the sensing unit. The sensing unit and the controlling unit are structurally separated by a predetermined distance. Also, the sensing unit has a smoothing unit(73) smoothing the output signal of the rectifying unit.
