PURPOSE: A system and a method for generating a virtual character and a method of providing the virtual character are provided to represent the form of a virtual character according to a motion picture obtained by taking a picture of the shape and motion of a user. CONSTITUTION: A virtual character generating system includes an image input unit(10), a video processor(20), an external memory(40), and a central controller(50). The image input unit for taking a motion picture of an object and receiving the motion picture. The video processor processes the motion picture data to generate virtual character data of the motion picture. The external memory stores the virtual character data and software program constructed for the virtual character in an external memory medium. The central controller controls the functions of the input unit, video processor and external memory. |
