PURPOSE: An optical pick-up having a chromatic aberration lens is provided to correct chromatic aberration using refraction of an optical material, thus producing high optical efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An optical pick-up includes an optical source(10) emitting lights, an objective lens(60) for focusing the lights emitted from the optical source to form a light spot on a recording medium(1), and an optical path converter that is placed on an optical path between the optical source and the objective lens and converts the traveling path of incident light. The optical pick-up further has a chromatic aberration correction lens(40) that is placed on the optical path and corrects chromatic aberration, and a light detector(90) for receiving lights that were reflected from the recording medium and passed through the optical path converter. The chromatic aberration correction lens is configured of at least two lenses of a lens having positive power and a lens having negative power, which are adjacent to each other. The total focal distance of the chromatic aberration correction lens is infinite relatively to the focal distance of the objective lens.
