PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner easy to assemble and improved in the stiffness of an indoor unit after assembling. SOLUTION: The indoor unit of the air conditioner accommodates a heat exchanger, a blower and an electrical equipment box containing the control components of these units, wherein an indoor unit case comprises a back case on a back side and a front case fixed to the back case by fixing screws, and the electrical equipment box is fastened together with the front case to the back case by the fixing screws.
