<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine power generating system capable of starting a turbine without an inverter exclusively for starting the turbine. SOLUTION: The turbine power generating system, wherein a generator 3 is used as a motor to start the turbine 1 when rotating the turbine 1 to generate power with the generator, comprises a frequency converting means 82 for converting the frequency of AC power generated at the generator 3 into a predetermined value, switching means 16, 17 for switching connection so that power is supplied from the frequency converting means 82 to the generator 3 when the turbine 1 is started, and from the generator 3 to the frequency converting means 82 when the generator 3 generates power, and a control means 19 for controlling the frequency of the power so that it gradually increases from the predetermined value when power is supplied from the frequency converting means 82 to the generator 3 by the switching means 16, 17.</p> |
