PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph a plurality of partial images by making an overlapping rate to be nearly constant by only depressing the shutter once, when a stationary object is photographed as the plurality of partial images. SOLUTION: An angular velocity sensor 9 is provided for detecting the movement of a digital still camera. Angular velocity in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction detected by angular velocity sensors 9X and 9Y of the angular velocity sensor 9 is supplied to a system control circuit 10. The angular velocity in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction, supplied to the system control circuit 10, is supplied to integration circuits 12X and 12Y and a shutter control circuit 13. The angular velocity in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction supplied is integrated by the integration circuits 12X and 12Y, so that the moved amount of the digital still camera in the longitudinal direction is obtained. The moved amount in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction is supplied to the shutter control circuit 13. The digital still camera is controlled by the shutter control circuit 13 by using the angular velocity in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction supplied from the angular velocity sensors 9X and 9Y, the moving amount in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction from the integration circuits 12X and 12Y and the turn-on/off states of a start key inputted via a terminal 14 so as to photograph optimum images. |
