PURPOSE: To mechanically suppress overturning of a conveyed object on a conveyer device. CONSTITUTION: This driving device for a conveyer roller has a motor generating a rotation power and a connecting part connected to the conveyer roller. A friction roller transmitting mechanism comprising a sun roller, planet rollers that are arranged around the sun roller and rotatably contact with the sun roller, a ring roller of which inner peripheral surface rotatably contacts with the planet rollers, and a carrier synchronous with revolution components of the planet rollers is interposed in a rotation power transmitting passage between the motor and the connecting part. Any one of the sun roller, the ring roller, and the carrier is set as an input element for receiving the rotation power, another of them is set as an output element for outputting the rotation power, and the remaining one is set as a fixed element.
