PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel four-cycle rotary engine capable of reducing noise and vibration and which is compact and reduced in fuel consumption. SOLUTION: A cylinder shaped rotor 2 is eccentrically fixed on a driving shaft 7 in a casing 1 having a cylinder shaped inner surface around the driving shaft 7, and at least four vanes 3 are provided on the inner surface of the casing 1. An intake valve 4, an exhaust valve 5, and an ignition plug 8 are provided respectively between the vanes 3 formed on the inner peripheral surface. The intake valve 4 and the exhaust valve 5 actuate interlockingly with the driving shaft 7 of the rotor 2.
