PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant charging-and-sealing method and apparatus for a refrigeration cycle for making it possible to charge and seal a high pressure refrigerant, by forming a plurality of caulking parts at different positions in an axial direction of a refrigerant charging-and-sealing member and hermetically sealing an opening at an end by an airtight member. SOLUTION: The refrigeration cycle comprises a compressor 3 for compressing the refrigerant, a heat exchanger for hot water supply, an expansion valve 4, an outdoor heat exchanger 5, and an accumulator 6 annularly connected in this order by refrigerant piping 7. The refrigerant is charged or charged-and-sealed in the refrigeration cycle through a tubular refrigerant charging-and-sealing member provided between the outdoor heat exchanger 5 and the accumulator 6, before a plurality of the caulking parts 9b are formed at the different positions in the axial direction of the refrigerant charging-and- sealing member 9 so as to temporarily sealing the refrigerant charging-and- sealing member 9. Then, the end of the member 9 is hermetically sealed by the airtight member 9c.
