PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for positioning an oxygen boring machine for iron tapping hole in a blast furnace with which the positioning can simply be controlled, and even in the case of the occurrence of the dislocation of a hole-opening and a plugging in the position of the iron tapping hole and the unevenness of the precision of a manufacture, assembling, setting and swing precision in the oxygen boring machine for iron tapping hole, the strict positioning can easily be performed, and further, this machine can be used without developing any trouble regardless of the difference in the swing angle between a swing arm and the oxygen boring machine for iron tapping hole. SOLUTION: In the positioning device 10 for the oxygen boring machine 18 for iron tapping hole in the blast furnace having the oxygen boring machine 18 for iron tapping hole fitted so as to be horizontally rotatable to the swing arm 17, attached to the tip part of the swing arm 17, a first fixed gear 23 is arranged so as to make its axial center coaxial to a fixed shaft 16. Further, a second fixed gear 39 is arranged at the tip part of the swing arm 17 and fitted to a rotating shaft 35 for rotating the oxygen boring machine 18 for iron tapping hole, and the first fixed gear 23 and the second fixed gear 39 are connected with an engaging connecting element 53a.
