PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an O-acylated calixarene useful as an additive for a thermosetting resin composition to improve the storage stability before curing and enable the cure of the composition at a high curing rate. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an O-acylated calixarene or its derivative wherein the plural phenol units constituting the calixarene or its derivative are composed of two or more kinds of phenol units and the phenolic hydroxy group of a part or total of the phenol units is acylated, a curing agent for a thermosetting resin (preferably a thermosetting resin having epoxy group) containing the compound as active component and a thermosetting composition containing the compound.
